July 2014 - Paint The Town Chic
Hey gals!  I know it's been a while since I've posted.  I'm working on a new look coming soon for the blog, which I'm excited to share with you soon.  In the meantime, I had to share a great sale happening right now at White Plum!  If you use the code SOS70 today only, you get 70% off sale items!  I just snagged a dress and romper for $15-what a steal!

Here is what I chose:

There's still a great selection of items, so definitely check it out!

The highlight of today's outfit was a stunning vintage inspired necklace.  This is from the Eva Mendes Collection for New York and Company from a few months ago!

I really love neutral looks...and maxi dresses, so this was a great casual look for work (since I can't wear jeans and it's too hot to do so anyway!) While this maxi is an older score from Ross, a teal version of the Allegra Necklace can currently be found at New York and Company!  I'm loving this color for the summer paired with a white dress!

Do you dress up or dress down your statement necklaces!  I don't think you could go wrong either way!

Since this week has been about fashions out of my comfort zone, I thought I'd continue the theme with today's Sunday Spotlight.  Midi lenght has always intrigued me, but I always thought I'd be too short to pull it off.  I recently learned a trick about pulling off this trend-the skirt has to hit right below  the knee for us petites (and mid-shin for tall girls!)  But with a great pair of heels, this is a very classic and elegant look and I will be sure to give it another chance!  Here are some of my favorite dresses and skirts at midi length!

Loving these choices!  What do you think about Midi Length?

It's a rare occasion for me to wear pants...ever.  I'm more of a dress-obsessed kinda gal.  So when i received these surprise Priddy Harem pants in my June Golden Tote, it was shockingly love at first sight even before I put them on!  And once I tried them on, I didn't want to take them off!  These pants are so comfy, can be dressed up or down, and the print is amazing!  Definitely a must have piece for the season.  Here is how Golden Tote styled them:

I decided to stay with black and add a little pattern with my flowy tank!  I also paired them with flats as I had a casual outing last night.  I would definitely pair with a blouse and strappy heels for a fancy night out!

As I received this in my Golden Tote package as a surprise item, they are not available to purchase.  Here are some options for similar pants:

Ikat Chiffon Harem Pant, The Style Bar Boutique (take 10% off using code PRIYANKA10) |  Ikat Parachute Pants, Calypso

These pants are definitely out of my comfort zone, but that is why I love Golden Tote so much!  If you like what you see and want to give Golden Tote a try, I'd love for you to use my referral link!

I've belonged to a fantastic online community called Crowdtap for a while now, and I was recently given the opportunity to sample the new Kleenex tissues with packaging designed by Isaac Mizrahi.  I received a To-Go pack to review!  How cute is this:

I can already see that this to-go pack fits any scenario.  From my everyday crossbody to my makeup bag, these tissues are perfect for everything!  As a designer myself, I appreciate good packaging and this design brightens up the day!  Some of the other Mizrahi designs also caught my eye, so I'll be sure to look for them the next time I'm out shopping!

If you're looking to share your opinions on fun brands, be sure to check out Crowdtap!

I love fun prints-especially ones unique  shapes and colors!  On a recent trip to Kohls, I discovered a dress with a Moroccan print and had to have it.  Since that purchase, I've seen a few other Moroccan inspired prints on clothes that I love.

The dress (left) that started it all!

Here are some of my Moroccan inspired must haves:

And I had to include this necklace as well because I loved the design.

Would you wear something with a Moroccan inspired print?  I know I can't wait to add more pieces to my closet!

You may have seen my posts on Zoya nail polish, and I have to say, it's become my go-to polish brand.  The formula is great; lasts a long time and is toxin free!  And there are over 300 shades to chose from.  How fun are these summer colors!

Right now they are having an amazing promotion, chose three shades for free and just pay $12 s/h!  This is a great value as each polish retails for $9-10!  Just use code THREEDOM at checkout.  This deal is how I started out with Zoya last year and I will be taking advantage of it again!  I've finally narrowed down my selection, and some of these summer colors may be included!

Hope you ladies take advantage of this July 4th deal.  I would love to hear what Zoya colors you're loving below!

It feels like a red kind of week, which is appropriate considering that it is the week of red, white and blue!  It may only be Tuesday, but I've been inspired by pops of red in my outfit selections!  I was able to pair my new favorite tank and favorite chunky sandals to create today's featured outfit!

Eyelash Sheer RacerbackTank, Kohls | Arturo Chaing Sandals, Burlington Style (similar here) | Earrings, BaubleBar

I love pulling my hair back with a little braid!  It makes a messy bun look dressed up.  And I'm obsessed with this tank from Kohls!  So comfy for this heat and comes in a variety of colors.

Speaking of heat, hope you ladies had a great start to July!  I know I'm looking forward to some beach trips this month!
