November 2014 - Paint The Town Chic
One good thing about winter is that I can pull out all of my favorite sweaters.  One of my favorite types of sweaters is pullovers because of the versatility!  There are so many wears to incorporate these sweaters into your wardrobe.  Of course you can also combine with comfy boyfriend jeans for shopping with the girls.  Or you could try your hand at pattern mixing, layering over plaid button-downs or tucking into midi skirts, and the list goes on!  I've gathered my favorite winter pullovers below, many of which are on sales with Cyber Monday tomorrow!

Have I told you already how excited I am for Golden Tote December launch tomorrow.  The sweater in picture #4 will be available for purchase Monday on Golden Tote's website!  Which of these is your favorite?

Tunic Sweater, H&M (size down) | Leggings, LC Lauren Conrad, Kohls | Crossbody, Kohls (also comes in leopard!!!) | Booties, old | 360 Studs, BaubleBar (love this and this)  | Sunglasses, old | Lipstick, NYX in San Paulo

This is one of my favorite comfy winter outfits.  It's great for hiding food bellies while keeping me warm! I loved combining stripes with polka dots, even though it was very subtle pattern mixing.  The pink was a great pop of color which I may play up next time. The sweater was a total steal.  I sized down for a better fit, but the sweater is still oversized.  And these leggings are by far my favorite pair.  The LC Lauren Conrad collection has so many printed leggings available that I may have to try a few others.

This outfit was all about the accessories!  After eying many pairs of 360 studs, I finally picked up a pair and I love them.  I think that I can also wear them with a normal back, which is a great option.  And I have to share with you about the NYX matte lip cream.  I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the color looked.  It is more of a lip stain and does rub off, but is a good option for testing out shades you may be on the fence about.

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

I can't believe we're almost at December!  I had a great few days with family celebrating Thanksgiving and then doing a little shopping!  I've never been an intense shopper pushing people out of the way as soon as doors open, but I do love the thrill of finding a great deal.  I snagged some great items and I'm looking forward to seeing what pops up on Monday.  Here are some of my favorite finds.

Black Friday Recap:

I've had my eye on that Target blush crossbody bag since I laid eyes on it a few weeks ago.  So glad I snagged it along with a gorgeous black and gold wallet for my mom, both part of their limited edition collection.  So many beautiful pieces.  Shop the crossbody here (also in black!) and wallet here.

Kohls had a great selection, as always!  I picked up this adorable city print blouse in a beautiful blue color.  I can't wait to wear it.  If you haven't checked out the Elle collection, there are many cute pieces in this line.  I'm also loving this and this!

I also checked out the Black Friday beauty specials at my local Ulta as well as browsed specials online at Sephora.  I couldn't end the night without getting a few items from both places.  I was able to get one of the Lorac palattes made specially for Ulta, and the colors are gorgeous.  I also picked up the limited edition EOS A Ray of Holiday Sunshine collection.  I can't wait to try them since I've heard so many great things.  Since I ordered from Sephora online, I'll be sure to share my finds when they arrive!

I was really excited to also grab the Glossybox Limited Edition kit.  I've been loving Ipsy and I've wanted to try a new subscription, so Glossybox it is.  Right now, they have a deal for 20% off with the code 'THANKS' if you'd like to check them out.  Discount ends on December 1st at 11:59pm.

Cyber Monday Preview:

I cannot wait to order my first Golden Tote in a long time!  Not only do they have a cute selection for the coming month, they are offering an extra surprise in every tote.  You can't beat that!  If you don't know what Golden Tote is, check out my reviews here and here.

The Lorac palatte above was super limited edition, Beauty Junkies United has shared a sneak peek of another Cyber Monday special here.  From my experience, if you want it, grab it quickly!  I'm sure there will be more amazing deals as well!

Hope you were able to find some stocking stuffers to gift (and keep for yourself too!)  I'd love to hear about your steals below in the comments!  And don't forget to enter the raffle to win a set of Old Factory candles.  I've had them lit all week and they really are amazing!

I love trying (and adding) new makeup to my collection, but lately I've come across many high end designers coming up with makeup lines.  The first item that peaked my interest was Rouge Louboutin!  Now there's a whole line of colors, all of which I want to try and a special holiday polish, Starlight

Between the beautiful packaging and the stunning shades, these items are works of art and I can't wait to add some them to my collection (a girl can dream about Starlight!!)  I'm looking forward to buying some MAC products since I've heard great things about them.  Which of these would you like to try the most?

I love treating myself to a mani at the salon every now and then, and it always makes me sad when I see that pesky first polish chip.  It's always a downhill battle from there since the other nails usually follow.  This time, I decided to try a quick fix to salvage my mani for the weekend with some glitter!

I loved the color I tried this time, OPI's Push or Pur-pull, and didn't want to take it off just yet.  I tried a glitter french tip to cover up those chips!  It was so easy to do and makes a great holiday mani idea as well.

And speaking of the holidays, how cute is this as a stocking stuffer idea?  Easy to put together and looks so cute!  I will definitely be doing it this year!

Hope you liked this quick fix mani idea!!

I'm a huge fan of Annie Griffin Collection, and right now they are having an online warehouse sale!  One of my favorite skirts is part of the sale and is a steal!  I can't wait to create a winter look for this fabulous skirt!

Hurry over because this only lasts until 9pm EST!  Here are a few of my other favorites...

(I'm obsessed with this print.  Perfect winter floral!)
(Over-sized florals are so bold and fun!)
(The colors and print remind me of Lilly Pulitzer's Amuse Bouch print, which I love!  Navy and pink are so perfect together!)

There are so many beautiful plums, forest greens and cobalts too which I'm loving for the fall.  Be sure to check out the sale and let me know your favorite piece in the comments!

Top: H&M (may be found in stores, but love this) | Midi Skirt: H&M (may be found in stores)| Blazer: Old, H&M (love this and this) | Pumps: Old, Kohls (love this and obsessed with these) | Bracelets: Kohls, Emerson Grace

This outfit is definitely one of my favorites this season.  I purchased it on a whim at H&M because I loved the neutral color and textures (and I had an event to attend - who doesn't love a new outfit!)  I absolutely loved the metallic thread on the skirt, which makes it a great choice for the holidays.  As someone who wears a lot of bright colors, one of my goals for the season was to find some neutrals pieces, and I definitely found some winners here.

Another thing that I'm loving right now are jeweled pieces.  The placement of the embellishments on the shirt are perfect because I don't have to wear a necklace with it.  Now the search continues for a jeweled sweater.  For the event I threw on a black blazer since there were black jewels on the tee!  But I love the look without the blazer as well.

I definitely can't wait to wear these pieces again.  I'm thinking the skirt will look great with a comfy peach or cream sweater and pearls...

There are a few articles of clothing that I love and coats are one of them!  I love unique colors and patterns, especially with the drab weather headed this way.  This year, I'm looking to add something in a purple or wine shade, a coat with interesting shape, and a cape!  Here are some of my favorites for the upcoming season!

So many great options to choose from!  I especially love the black coat with the camel details-would look great with so many outfits.  I know I'm not looking forward to the cold, but a cute coat definitely helps!
I love the holidays, and the scents that are associated with them!  One way to to enhance your decor is through scent and I recently had an opportunity to do that by sampling Old Factory Candles.  These beautifully packaged candles come in sets of 3-and I decided to go with the Fall Harvest set (though I kept eying the Winter Wonderland set!)

The scents included in the pack were Cranberry, Pumpkin Spice, and Autumn Leaves.  The Cranberry scent was my favorite.  It reminded me of the spices used in Thanksgiving baking!  Autumn Leaves was not what I expected (I can't really say what leaves should smell like), but was a nice addition to the fall set and the Pumpkin Spice was perfection!  A must have for fans of pumpkin spice!  All the scents complimented each other well, especially  when lit together!  The smell filled the room minutes after lighting the candles.  And it looks like these candles will last quite a while despite their size!  Each candle is meant to last for 20 hours!

These sets make great stocking stuffers for the holidays! I love the notes printed on the inside of the packaging!

There are so many sets to choose from:

Love that the candles are made with soy wax and hand poured in the US!  Added bonus-the jars and the labels are cute too.  I can't wait to try some of the other sets. Since I loved these candles so much, I want to give a set away to one of my readers!
