March 2015 | Paint The Town Chic
Floral dress, old | Fringe Kimono, old (love this) | Target Blush cross body, old (but love this) | Boots, old

As someone who doesn't really attend festivals, this is probably the closest I'll get to dressing for one.  I love the boho vibes this outfit gives off, and I haven't met a floral that I don't like!  Floral print is definitely my go to print for the spring so I can't wait to pull out all of my pieces.  I especially love the combination of gray and blush on this dress.

Kimonos will be big this spring as well.  It's a versatile piece that can be transitioned from a casual outfit to a beach coverup!  I scooped this up a while ago, but it will be perfect as the weather gets warmer.  I can't wait to add more kimonos to my closet, maybe even a floral piece!

H&M Blouse, old | GroopDealz Vest, old (love this and this for spring) | Old Navy Jeans, old | Booties, old | Under One Sky Reversible Tote (in navy/red combo) c/o | Buckley London Sparkle Mesh Bracelets c/o | Chloe + Isabel Retro Glam Square-Cut Bracelet c/o | Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Poppy

It was chilly today, but I'm definitely ready to be done with coats.  Come on warm weather!  But until then, we still have to bundle up, and today I did just that with this long sleeved blouse and vest.  This vest has been so popular over the fall and winter, but I'm taking it into the spring!  I really love the herringbone pattern, and in a classic color combo!  I'll be looking for some spring vests.

Remember this tote?  You might not because the last time I wore it, I had it with the navy showing on the outside!  I'm loving the reversible quality; it makes this piece so versatile and I love the pop of red.  My favorite part about this outfit may just be these Buckley London bracelets!  Mixed metals create a unique look, and this arm stack included gold, rose gold, and black rhodium.  I may have to get another set to add to this stack.  I think it's a high end look for a great price!  And of course I can't say enough about this C+I bracelet-I think I wear it with everything!  My C+I pop-up is still going on until Tuesday; check out this post for more details on the pop-up and giveaway!

Thanks for reading and I hope you're having a great weekend!

Who else has been watching and waiting for a preview of the new Lilly for Target collection.  With less than a month before the big release, Target shared the lookbook today!  I've already started making a list of what I want, and here is a sampling!

I love the prints on the clothing, but I'm especially excited for the home goods.  There are so many goodies just waiting to join my home... Can't wait to see everything in person on the 19th!

I'm back with one of my favorite posts of every season-the bucket list!  Though the first day of spring has already passed, it's still feeling like winter here in Philly.  I am looking forward to consistently warm weather and flowers.  I'd settle for any sign of greenery.  But better days are coming, and here are a few things that I'm looking forward to doing, or wearing, this season!

10. Head to a Baseball Game (and Tailgate!)
I've always enjoyed the feeling at being at a baseball game-all the activities, people, and food make it such a fun experience.  Of course tailgating makes it that much better.  I try to make at least one game a season and I'm already looking forward to it!

9. Wear More Heels!
I think every few years I go through phases, and lately it's been a lot of flat or low heeled boots or plain old flats.  This spring, I want to wear more heels, bonus points if it's lace up or has chunky heels!  I'm especially loving all of these styles of Dee Keller!

8. Make a Pie.
I love baking, but this year, I'm going to try baking a pie from scratch, something I've never done before.

7. Add Some Tropical Prints to my Collection.
I am loving all things tropical right now, and that includes wearing it.  How cute are all those bright flowers, pineapples and palm trees!  Loving these pretties from Asos!

6. Attend the Races...and Wear a Fancy Hat!
The Kentucky Derby may be the biggest horse race around here, but I enjoy our local races too!  This year, I am on the hunt for amazing hats or fascinators to wear to these races!

5. Get Spring Scarves.
Just because winter is over doesn't mean we can't still accessorize with scarves.  I wear scarves all year round, and mostly wear Lilly Pulitzer Murfee scarves during the spring.  This year, I'll be looking to add more brands to my closet, and I'm especially loving these scarves from Powder!  Hello...tassels!!!  How pretty are these prints as well, and there are so many others to choose from too!

4. Get Better at Blog Planning.
This is something that I'm going to work harder on!

3. Get a Bucket Bag!
I'm really loving the shape of bucket bags; they are so unique and definitely make a statement!  I recently came across the designer Alexandra de Curtis and her bucket bags are stunning!  Here is a sampling of the collection, from their website!

2. Picnic Outdoors.
I've always wanted to have an outdoor picnic, with the red checkered blanket and the wicker basket!  Maybe this year is the year!

1. Get a Seersucker Dress!
I just love a good blue and white stripe, it screams warm weather!   How cute are these picks from Old Navy and Gap.  I recently stopped by my local Old Navy and was really impressed with the dress selection, and these dresses are very cute in person!

This list is really making me want spring to be here.  What are you looking forward to this season?

H&M Blouse (love this) | Golden Tote Pants | Moto Jacket, old | Pumps, old | BaubleBar Necklace | Buckley London Studs c/o

Sometimes it's hard to find something to wear, especially on a Monday when I'd rather sleep in just a little longer.  That's when style challenges come in handy.  I've been following along with WearWhatWhere's Instagram challenge and today's just happened to be "Fancy Pants"!  Of course I had to pull out one of my favorite Golden Tote items-these printed joggers that I previously styled over the summer.  This time I tried to dress them up with a white blouse and a Moto jacket!  I think it would look great with a bright spring blazer as well!

No outfit is complete without fun baubles!  I grabbed that gorgeous necklace during BaubleBar's latest sale, so I don't think it's available any longer.  But there are so many other options to choose from.   And those diamond earrings are the perfect studs for any outfit.  Buckley London sent me a few other gorgeous pieces that I can't wait to show off in some upcoming posts!

I can't believe we're back with another Sunday Spotlight already!  The weekend went by too fast.  Today I wanted to share 2 more of the new Chloe + Isabel collections!  If you didn't catch last week's post, we took a closer look at Sand + Stone and Sedona.  Don't forget that I'm collaborating with my C+I rep Danielle to donate all of the proceeds from this pop-up to Career Wardrobe!  What better month to help empower women than in March.

Well, let's see some jewels!

Heritage Blossom
I may have said that Sand + Sky and Sedona were my favorite collections, but I really love Heritage Blossom as well.  I'm in love with the gorgeous spring colors on these statement making pieces.  I love that these pieces will match everything.  I'm eyeing the Heritage Blossom Convertible Errings (F)!  They're convertible too, which means that you can wear just the studs or make a statement as seen above!  They would definitely dress up jeans and a t-shirt!

Meridian
Blue has been my favorite color so far this spring, and the blues of the Meridian collection are perfection.  How gorgeous is that mother of pearl too.  I love the Meridian Statement necklace (A) and the simplicity of the Meridian Hexagon Ring (E).  I think any of these pieces would look great with a little white dress!  I just received one of the Wrap Bracelets (similar to H); it is gorgeous and makes a perfect addition to any arm party.

Now that you've seen some new C+I jewels, head over and shop the pop-up now!  Danielle is throwing in a few jewelry gift with any purchase this month and we're giving away a grand prize of 6 C+I pieces of the winner's choice!  The guilt free shopping is just the icing on the cake!

Urban Outfitters Dress, old | LC Lauren Conrad Sweater (not available anymore online, but love this) | Boots, old | Necklaces, old

Spring is just around the corner, but it's chilly up here in the North.  Instead of packing away those winter pieces, I'm still putting together some transition outfits, but I'm not complaining (I love sweaters and boots!)  One of my favorite fashion tips during the cold months is to wear spring and summer dresses, but layer with sweaters!  This outfit is just one of those examples.

Even though I'm a huge fan of color, I just can't get enough black and white at the moment.  It's such a classic combination!  Maybe my mood will change once the weather gets warmer.  My other recent obsession is layering necklaces.  I think these three make such a great pairing!  In happier news, it's almost Friday-I'm definitely ready for the weekend!

March 19, 2015

I had a great time testing out some new products from my Ipsy March bag!  I had heard of most of these brands, but never tried any of my picks!  I was excited to get more skincare this month; as much as I love getting new makeup, I always seem to get the same items.

1.) Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind Illuminating Face Highlighter
I think I've found my new obsession.  This highlighter offers the perfect dewy shine that finishes off any makeup look.  It is suggested to apply the highlighter on top of blush, and you can also highlight the t-shape for added shine (forehead, nose and chin!)  Though I wasn't particularly looking forward to trying this, the highlighter ended up being my favorite product this month!  Sadly sold out online at the moment but will hopefully be restocked.  Can't wait to try some other products as well!

2.) Boo Boo Cover-up in Medium
A little goes a looong way with this product.  It blended in perfectly with my skin-so glad Ipsy matched me with the perfect shade!  Since I didn't have any blemishes at the moment, I used this as an under eye concealer and it worked great!  I will definitely get this out again when I get a breakout or a bug bite (since bugs seem to love biting my face!)  This was another product that I didn't know anything about, but is now one of my favorite Ipsy items!

3.) NYX Butter Lipstick in Hunk
At first glance, I was a little hesitant about this color-it looks so purple.  But just as the name implies, this lippie goes on like butter and does not provide a lot of pigment when first applied (which is good for me as I'm still getting used to dark colors!)  This is one of those products that you need to build up the color.  This is a nice transition shade, so it will get worn over the spring.  So glad to finally get a darker shade from Ipsy!  This isn't my favorite color, but I would be open to trying other shades!

4.) Dr. Brandt Pores No More Anti-Aging Mattifying Lotion
As someone prone to oily skin, I can use any help getting rid of shine.  I loved this sample.  I used a very little amount and found that it was easy to spread.  The benefits lasted quite a while-even through a visit to the gym!  This is an item that I will definitely be reaching for now that warm weather is heading our way.

5.) Pur-Lisse Gentle Soy Milk Cleanser
I've tried the Pur-Lisse brand before through Ipsy, and while this was a nice cleanser, it wasn't anything special.  I do like that my face didn't feel dry or stiff after using it, and it seemed to remove my makeup.  This product is supposed to remove any makeup, so I'll have to try it on my products that don't seem to come off!

Overall, another great month for Ipsy.  I've added a few must have products to my collection that I will probably purchase again.  And the floral bag is the cutest.  Now I'm looking forward to what April will bring!
