June 2015 | Paint The Town Chic

I've had a busy couple of days (including a major closet cleanup and making room for some upcoming sales!!) which is making this Sunday Spotlight a little late but I just had to share it!  I've been spotting some pretty red, white and blue pieces at some of my favorite boutiques.  While they are perfect for the upcoming holiday, these pieces will last all summer!

I think my favorite of these may just be that periwinkle jumpsuit.  It's such a pretty summer color, and would make a great base for some red accessories!

I sure am looking forward to putting my July 4th outfit together and enjoying a nice long weekend!

Red, White and Blue-tiful!

I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I love a good cup of iced coffee every now and then, especially in the summertime.  But the Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts sure add up over time, and I'd love to save some money to spend on other things!  In comes Folgers Iced Cafe concentrates...
Look how tiny the packaging is.  It may seem small, but it goes a long way.  The concentrates come in four different flavors, Original Latte, Caramel Macchiato, Vanilla Latte, and Hazelnut.  You just mix the concentrate in cold mix and that's it.  You can adjust the flavor by adding more of less drops depending on your preference.
Now I can enjoy a refreshing drink anywhere!  I keep one of these concentrates in my bag at all times because you never know when the craving will hit!

Have you tried Folger's concentrates yet, and if so, what's your favorite flavor?  I'm pretty fond of the vanilla latte.

*Thanks to Crowdtap and Folgers for providing these samples.  All opinions shared above are my own.

Sequin t-shirt, old | H&M lace skirt, old | Old Navy Denim Slip-ons (may still be in store, but love this beachy print!) | Under One Sky Reversible Tote in Navy/Red(on major sale, hurry!)

I'm a huge fan of print mixing, but I was getting bored with the typical combos.  I decided to take another look through my closet and put together something that was casual chic for both work and fun!  For work I paired this with some white wedges, but it's so much more fun with these denim slip-ons!  And I discovered a new favorite color combo for the summer - blue, gray and white!

My new obsession are these slip-on sneakers.  They are the perfect pop of print for any outfit.  I can't wait to get more of this style!

Happy Summer!  Yesterday was also National Wear Your Lilly Day and I chose a sample top that I found at the recent warehouse sale.
Lilly Pulitzer sample Jodie top in Queen of the Jungle | Boutique Skirt, old (love this) | Elle Ruffle Pumps, old (but loving these ivory pumps)

This Jodie top was one of the last things I found at the Lilly Pulitzer warehouse sale earlier this month (check out this post to read about my experience!)  I was drawn to the print because it was reminiscent of older prints I had seen and I loved that it was a unique piece that didn't go into production.  The top is definitely more suited for the fall because of the sleeves, but I couldn't resist styling it now.  It also paired perfectly with this hot pink skirt ( this skirt goes well with many of my other Lilly tops too!)  I only wish it was a little longer so I could wear it to work.  I'm definitely looking forward to styling this top again in the fall!

This looks a little silly, but a few of you wanted to see the shirt up close, so here it is!
Hope everyone is having a great start to the summer!

A few weeks ago I shared a customized dress that I received from eShakti (see here for the review!)  It was such a fun experience choosing the features that I love in clothing while making sure the measurements fit me.  Luckily the same dress is on now sale, and if you use the code at the bottom, there is a sweet discount in store!  But today I'm excited to share some of the new features and products on eShakti!

New Products
Initially popular for selling dresses and skirts, eShakti is now offering shorts, pants and jumpsuits.  I find that I need more help with the fit of pants (being short never makes it easy to shop!)  Right now I'm obsessed with printed jogger pants, and these options are just so cute!
How charming is that cactus print!  These are all great prints for summer!  Be sure to also check out the other pants, shorts, and jumpsuits!

I'm also loving the new categories, which include Contemporary, Bohemian, and Retro Modern!
These are a few of my favorite Bohemian picks.  I just love mixed media prints, elephants, long sleeves on dresses and embroidery!

New Website Features
The website is cleaner and easier to navigate through.  One of my favorite features is that eShakti shows a photo of customers wearing the product as much as they can.  Many times I make a decision on purchasing something based on social media pictures, not what I find on a website!  I also love the "trends we can't get enough of" feature that highlights some of the most popular items at the moment.  It gives a good overview of the products that eShakti offers.
Be sure to check out the site to see more of eShakti!  Need any more incentive?  How about $35 to spend on anything on the site?  Use code PAINTTHETOWNCHIC35 under the gift coupon/referral code box to get your discount!
I think eShakti offers a lot of opportunities for customers to interact with the company, especially with all the customization options.  Something that I would love to see is a design your own fabric option, or offer various fabrics with the choice to make it into a skirt, dress, pants, etc!  I saw a pair of pants with a stunning print that I would love as a skirt...

What are your favorite pieces on eShakti?

Lilly Pulitzer Elsa in Sea Haze (keep your eye out here, it's coming soon!) | Old Navy Pixie Pants (similar here or check out the other options here) | Nordstrom Rack cross body | Wedges, old | Bracelets - Trina Turk c/o Rocksbox, Moira Anne Artisans, Wire Bracelets old | Chloe + Isabel Earrings

You may know about my love of brights color and prints, but this particular print was just love at first! sight.  In fact some people even refer to it as the Lisa Frank print (does anyone know what that is anymore!)  I found this gem at the Lilly Pulitzer warehouse sale just as I was about to check out (check out more of my sale experience here.)  I plan on grabbing more Summer Haze items when they come out; the blue background is equally pretty!

At the recent warehouse sale I snagged 3 lovely Elsas, and I asked around for new ways of styling them other than with jeans (which I can't wear to work) or white pants (everyone does that!)  Luckily I had this cobalt pair of Pixie pants and they matched perfectly.  Not only are they so comfy, they come in a variety of colors too.  I'll have to check back and see what other colors and prints Old Navy carries.

With the jewels and accessories, I decided to stay with the blue theme, but opted for a paler shade.  That kept some visual interest without being too matchy matchy.  Rocksbox now has me obsessed with Trina Turk jewels, which also pair really nicely with Lilly prints.  Maybe next time I'll play up the hot pinks...

Want a free month of Rocksbox?  How could you say no!  Use code paintthetownchicxoxo for your first month free!!

It's been pretty hot over here in Philly.  Hope everyone is keeping cool!

Last weekend I had an opportunity to visit Eviama Life Spa here in Philly!  While the spa has been around for a while, it's been at the current location on 13th Street for about 2 years.  Penny, the owner of the spa, gave me a tour the facility!
The building had beautiful features, floor to ceiling windows with stunning city views, used recycled materials, and had unique artwork!
The open house included a delicious spread of treats (who knew vegan cheese was so good!)
There was also a chance to sample three of the services, a massage, a hand scrub using beer (yes, beer can be good for you-as long as you're not drinking it!), and guided meditation.  I first sampled the meditation, which was relaxing but not for me.  I prefer to do yoga to relax.  I also tried out the massage, which used innovative techniques and seemed to get some of those pesky knots out in just a few minutes.  I can't wait to go back and get a longer massage!  I didn't try the hand scrub, but I head only good things about it.

In addition to all the services they offer, there is also the cutest boutique.  Look at these beautiful handmade and unique pieces!  I may have been a little obsessed with the beautiful bags and clutches, but there also a gorgeous collection of jewels, scarves, vintage Kimonos and other trinkets.
I had so much fun checking out a new spa in the city and look forward to stopping back!
