(left to right) Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Pepper, Beetroot, Gazpacho c/o Bite Beauty and Influenster

Today I'm sharing a fun beauty post featuring three Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks that I recently sampled thanks to Influenster!  In these first photos,  I've prepped and am ready to apply lipstick, but have no color!

Lipstick Prep

1.) Scrub and moisturize lips.
2.) Use a Lipliner!  I used Urban Decay 24/7 Gilde-On Lip Pencil in Ozone.  This defines the shape of lips and prevents feathering!
3.) Apply lipstick.  Can be applied directly from the tube or with a brush!
4.) Blend lipstick to ensure even application.  Don't forget to smudge around the corners of your lips, especially with darker shades.

Pepper was by far my favorite shade.  It's a pretty dusty rose that's great for everyday use.
Gazpacho is a fiery bright red that I would only use for special occasions.  Such a vibrant color!
Beetroot is a deeper shade of red that has a purple tint.  It seems more like a fall/winter shade, so I'll be saving this for later months.  Even though it's also a darker shade, Beetroot is easier to wear than Gazpacho.

Why  Should You Try Amuse Bouche Lipstick?

  • Many shades to choose from (all with fun names!)
  • Moisturizing and doesn't dry lips!
  • Long lasting formula!
  • Made with natural ingredients!
  • Delicious citrus scent!
  • Sleek packaging!
I had a great experience sampling these Amuse Bouche shades!  Even though I don't typically wear dark lipsticks, I will be saving Gazpacho and Beetroot for special occasions.  I will definitely purchase additional Amuse Bouche lipsticks in lighter shades.

I received these lipstick samples in exchange for an honest review.  All opinions shared above are my own.

Enclothe Boutique Lace Panel Dress, c/o | Fringe Kimono (old, but love this and this) | Kohls Booties, old | Floral Crossbody, old | Chloe + Isabel Aventine Long Pendant Necklace

There's still a chill in the air, but this dress is bringing a touch of summer to my wardrobe.  I'm really loving this peach shade-such a refreshing twist on the typical pastel colors!  The lace panels add an interesting detail but still keeps the dress an easy option for a casual date night or Sunday brunch!  This was part of my recent Enclothe Bundle (see the full review here.)

Have I mentioned how much I love fringe?!  I've started styling this fringe kimono over various sundresses and I love the boho vibe it adds.  Ideally I would have loved to pair this dress with a floral kimono, but I have yet to find the perfect one.

I kept the accessories rather simple.  I added a pop of print with my crossbody.  For future stylings, I may add a printed kimono or more colorful shoes.  I also just picked up this new C+I necklace from the recent collection and I just had to wear it.   I think it will become a go to necklace this spring.

Hope you're all having a great week!

Southwestern Princess Dress c/o | Dolce Vita Booties, old | Bracelets, old

Festival season is coming, and this look is definitely something I'd consider!  Not only is this southwestern print eye catching, this dress is so lightweight and breathable for hot weather.  The asymmetrical length of the sleeves was also fun and created movement on the dress.

I love off the shoulder pieces, and I attempted that with this piece.   I wasn't able to keep the sleeves in place when they were off the shoulder, so maybe a larger size would solve that.  Regardless of how this is styled, this is a must have dress for the spring/summer!

This dress is from one of my favorite boutiques, Enclothe Boutique!  You can purchase this directly from the store, but don't forget that the bundles get you a much better deal!  Check out my review on the Enclothe experience here.

Every now and then, I come across a new product that I just have to try.  Recently I had the opportunity to try the Kenra Professional Platinum Revive collection.  Kenra is a salon brand haircare line, and the Platinum Revive collection helps repair and strengthen hair, especially hair that is damaged from color treatments.

The products I sampled were the Kenra Professional Platinum Revive Shampoo, Conditioner, Treatment, Oil and Complex.

The first part of my routine was to shampoo and condition my hair.  It was definitely not what I expected or was used to.  The shampoo seemed to strip my hair, but the conditioner added back the softness and smoothness that my hair needed.  The scent was earthy and rather manly, so I was not a fan of that.  The treatment is somewhat like a deep conditioner, and can be used occasionally in place of the conditioner.

While my hair was still damp, I applied two to three pumps of the Complex starting at the middle of my hair and down to the ends.   That smoothed my hair while it air dried, and I followed up with a little of the oil to define my curls and finish off the look.  I didn't mind the scent of these products as much, though they were similar to the shampoo and conditioner.

I have big wavy/curly hair full of frizz, so it is definitely a challenge to find products that work.  I have to say, the Platinum Revive line came through and added definition to my hair and brought back the natural curl.  Unfortunately the weather here was wet and humid both times I sampled this, so I couldn't get rid of all of my frizz (see above photo, hehe) but I was impressed with my experience.  I would consider getting this again if the scent was changed as that is a huge deciding factor for me!

I received these products complimentary from Brandbacker and Kenra in exchange for an honest review.  All opinions shared above are my own.

We've had a little taste of spring weather, and now I can't wait until spring is officially here.  Until then, I'll be stocking up on some new items that will be perfect for the warm weather.  I had to check out some of the new pieces at Kohl's, especially from the new Lauren Conrad line and I loved what I saw.
Yellow Lace Dress (couldn't find online, but love this and this) - As soon as I saw this on the rack, I knew I had to try it on.  Who doesn't love a pretty lace dress!  As much as I liked this, I thought the lace was too delicate in some areas and I'd be afraid of breaking it.  Sized up to a medium in this and it fit well.  I may keep this in mind for a future sale!  This is the only piece that is not Lauren Conrad, it's by Lily Rose!
Floral Skater Skirt (sold out online, but also love this) - Floral prints are so in right now, and this adorable skirt can be worn for many occasions.  It can be dressed up or down depending on the situation. I'm also a huge fan of print mixing, and I love pairing florals with stripes, but it's so overdone now.  This speckled top caught my eye and the colors in both prints matched, so I had to try them together.  This skirt is tts and very comfortable.

Speckled Top - As I mentioned above, this color and print caught my eye, and I've found other Lauren Conrad tanks to be very comfy.  This was my usual size small and it was very big, so I will try the xsmall next time.  It is slightly longer in the back which I like.  It'll be great with white pants or shorts in the spring/summer!  This tank also comes in three other prints which are equally adorable!
Disney Heart Tank - I fall in love with every Disney collaboration Lauren Conrad comes up with.  Right now Minnie Mouse is the featured character, and this pretty coral top stood out.  I loved the color of the tank with the pretty contrasting prints.  Small details can make a big difference!  This was tts with a flattering fit!  Can't wait to try on some of the other pieces.
Peasant Top - As much as I dislike items that are sheer, I may have to make an exception for this.  The embroidery on the blouse is gorgeous and I loved the shade of pink.  Definitely needs a cami underneath, but I will be coming back for this piece!  I found this to be tts with a generous fit.
Floral Blouse - Now here is a disappointment.  I loved the print as soon as I saw it, and the blue is so pretty, but this runs very small.  This is a medium here and even that felt uncomfortable.  Wouldn't recommend getting this without trying it on.  Unfortunately, I seem to have a problem with most Lauren Conrad blouses with long sleeves.
Striped Dress - And finally ending with this pretty.  Unfortunately my size was not in store, but I've been wanting this dress since I first saw it.  I don't usually go for stripes, but this print and the colors are perfection.  The style is so feminine and another flattering piece, though the style runs a little larger.  I may have to get this online.

If you're a fan of Lauren Conrad's line, you should definitely check out the spring collection; there are many gorgeous pieces!

Autumn Olive Boutique Curiouser & Curiouser Skirt (also here in more sizes) | Blouse, old | Clutch, old| Wedges, old | Kohls and H&M Bracelets, old

There are a few constants in my life that haven't changed, including my love for Disney!  Imagine my excitement when I found the cutest whimsical skirt featuring various Alice in Wonderland characters.  I had to have it.  Not only is this skirt well made, it's the perfect midi length for shorties!  This skirt is by Moon Collection, which does run small (I sized up to a medium for a more comfortable fit at the waist.)

Now that I've shared my new favorite skirt, I'm going to let you in on a fun shopping experience called Dibs Kitten, which is owned by the wonderful owner of Autumn Olive Boutique!  Every few weeks, fans of the Dibs Kitten Facebook page have the opportunity to pre-order popular items before they hit the online boutique.  Many of these items sell out, so it's definitely worth joining the page and following along!
