December 2016 | Paint The Town Chic
Sweater, old | Anthropologie Maira Skirt | ZooShoo OTK Boots (under $50!!!) | BaubleBar Earrings, not available (love these) | GaDe Cosmetics Clutch c/o

Anything with florals and lots of color makes me so happy.  It's no surprise that this Anthro skirt caught my eye as soon as it came out earlier this fall.  I finally snagged it on sale (Anthro currently has 40% off sale items!) This is one of the few orange pieces I have and it's so vibrant and perfect for fall/winter.

But the star of this outfit are these OTK boots.  These ZooShoo beauts are extremely comfy and actually stay up without falling down.  I also love the little heel; while I love bigger heels they just aren't practical for my lifestyle.  I'm really loving everything from ZooShoo right now!

December 30, 2016
As the countdown to 2017 commences, I wanted to take a moment to look back on the year and share some highlights and my favorite blog posts!  It sounds cliche, but 2016 was the best year yet for Paint The Town Chic.  I didn't get to all of my goals for the year, but I was able to grow the blog in so many ways.

Networking
One of my main goals for this year was to networking with other bloggers and industry professionals.    The highlight was joining PHLbloggers!  I've met so many local bloggers (if you're in the Philly area, join us!!) through educational and social events and I'm currently helping to plan the 2107 Blog Connect Conference.

Collaborations
I was able to feature quite a few blog posts through the generous support of brands around the country.  The year kicked off with a post on Enclothe Boutique, and I have since featured numerous pieces of clothing from the company.  Some of my favorite posts have been the Enclothe Perfect Picks where Gabrielle, the owner of Enclothe Boutique, and I share how we would style our favorite pieces!  We hope to have those back next year, so stay tuned!

Rebranding
I had been wanting to redo the look of my blog for a while, and this summer happened to be the perfect time to do it.  I collaborated with my talented friend Chels of Cricket Lane Studio and she came up with the perfect logo!  In January, I hope to have my business cards and other marketing materials!

And now, a roundup of my favorite posts...

January
This was one of my first pieces from Enclothe Boutique!  See the full post here.
Influenster sent me the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara to try, and it remains one of my top three favorite mascaras ever (and I've tried a lot!)  See the full post here.

February
I love this photo so much I've been using it as a headshot (getting a professional headshot is on the list for 2017!)  I loved the print mixing with this Lilly Pulitzer dress and chambray, but I think chambray matches everything!  See the full post here.
I don't share casual looks often, but this sweatshirt had the prettiest cold shoulder detail that I had to style it on Paint The Town Chic.  To this day, the cold shoulder detail is one of my favorites.  I also tried the half knot hairstyle, but that was short lived.  See the full post here.

March
It's no secret I love prints!  This Enclothe Boutique cutie has a gorgeous southwestern print and a fun sleeve, which I couldn't resist!  See the full post here.
Again Influenster introduced to me another makeup product that has become a staple.  I sampled three Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks in this campaign.  Pepper is now one of my favorite everyday shades.  Check out the full post here.

April
I'm a sucker for any critter print, so I had to have this parrot print dress.  How cute is this?!  Again, I told you chambray matches everything, and is perfect all year.  See the full post here.
I received this adorable tank from Golden Tote!  See the full post here, including the cute hem.

May
I collaborated with Glossybox and shared a reveal of the May box.  Glossybox is one of my favorite beauty subscriptions out there.  Check out the review here.
I styled this colorful kimono, my first attempt at such a long piece.  But this petite girl made it work, and I loved the results!  See the full post here.

June
Here is another of my all time favorite outfits.  I was never much of a tucking in my shirt kind of gal until this post.  But these black skinnies made it so easy to style that way; they really are a staple for every closet.  See the post here.
Here is another critter print that I dressed up!  I also tried styling a beaded headband (one of my favorites) in a new way for me.  I love fun headbands on shorter hair!  See the full post here.

July
I had some fun with this shoot because...pineapples!  See the full post here.
This is one of my favorite skirts.  I love the periwinkle shade and the pretty midi length.  See more here.

August
August of course is one of the two months Lilly Pulitzer hosts an online sale.  I shared some sale tips along with this pretty dress!  See more here, just in time for the January sale.
I tried my first ever LulaRoe piece in August.  I'm loving the print and how soft and comfortable the leggings are.  See more here.

September
In September, I collaborated with fellow blogger Julia (of Philly with a Fjallraven) to take photos for this blog post.  This image is one of my favorites!
This black and camel combo is one of my favorites for fall.  I've been wearing these statement earrings from RSA Studios nonstop.  See more of this post here.

October
In October I collaborated with Tobi to share this fun blog post.  It featured my first bomber jacket, which are amazingly comfortable by the way.
There were so many pretty posts to choose from this month, but I loved the gorgeous plum shade and the asymmetrical hem on this eShakti dress.  See more about this awesome company here.

November
This LBD is one of my favorite dresses, and paired with OTK boots, is the perfect outfit for fall/winter.  See more of this post here.
This year, I've really gotten into denim because of all the fun styles that have come out.  I think the fringe hem is my favorite trend.  How fun are these jeans.  See more here.

December
This is my latest skincare review featuring Erno Laszlo, and I had to include it because of the amazing results I've experienced since I posted about it.  It's a lifesaver and I will definitely be getting this duo again.  See why I love it here.
This is one of my favorite outfits, period.  I know, I've said that before, but I love every detail, from the hunter green floral skirt to the bell sleeves and the pretty necklace.  See more deets here.

Thanks for sticking with me through this long recap.  I had so much fun going back through my posts and seeing how the blog has evolved!  For 2017, my #1 goal is to get professional photographs.  I'm hoping to also get a camera to play around with. Here's to a new year of blogging...

Golden Tote Cold Shoulder Dress, no longer available (linked a few other options below) | Lauren Conrad Moto Jacket | Booties, old | Clutch, old | Chloe + Isabel Midnight Palace Earrings

Hope everyone has been enjoying the holidays!  The week is going by so fast, but I'm definitely looking forward to NYE.  I took some time to enjoy the gorgeous sunshine today in this cold-shoulder dress (which has already made the holiday party rotation this year!)  Have I mentioned how much I love the cold-shoulder this season?  It adds just a bit of visual interest but can be easily covered up during the day!  This moto jacket is seriously one of my favorites, and it's perfect for throwing over dresses to stay warm this winter.  I wish I had scooped up the other colors too.  If you can find them in stores, grab them!  This dressy yet comfy look is a great contender for NYE but I have my eye on a few other options!

Target Turtleneck (runs very small!!) | Lauren Conrad Skirt, old | Charlotte Russe OKT Boots, old | Victoria's Secret Crossbody, not available (similar black version here) | Chloe + Isabel Rue Royale Convertible Necklace (this is 3 necklaces that can be mixed and matched!)

My favorite color at the moment is hunter green!  I can't get enough of it.  I snagged this skirt from last year's Lauren Conrad Runway line and I just love the pretty shape and the feminine floral print.  It's a great holiday option, and I recently wore this very outfit to a holiday party.

I paired the skirt with this bell sleeve sweater that I had been eying at Target.  I finally snagged it in store (if you happen to come across it, size up 2-3 sizes because it runs super small!)  Once I found a size that fit me, I was pleased with how comfy and stylish it looked.  I can't wait to style sweater with more outfits.

Finally, I'm in love with this crossbody, which was a recent gift with purchase from Victoria's Secret in conjunction with the Runway Show.  I love the mix of silver and gold metallics, and I couldn't resist getting this.  It will match so many outfits!
