Any Maybelline fans out there?  Influenster recently sent me two of Maybelline's new Super Stay Matte Lipsticks and what better day than today, National Lipstick Day, to share a review on these lippies!
Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipsticks in Pioneer (cherry red) and Lover (rosy pink-nude) c/o (swatches in different lights above)

Maybelline is my favorite drugstore brand and so I was really excited to test these out.  At first glance, I loved the shades I received and the sleek packaging.  Both shades would work well on most skin tones - a cherry red and a rosy pink.  But after further examination and testing, I have mixed feelings about them.  The applicator was fantastic; it was easy to spread the liquid lipstick without wasting product.  Once dried, you're left with a beautiful matte finish that doesn't budge; I wore them around NYC and I didn't have to reapply, even after drinking!  This product is supposed to last 16 hours, and for the most part, I believe it.  They also have a nice scent.

Tip #1: Once you've applied the lipstick to your liking, let it dry completely before closing lips (I had lipstick transfer to my teeth and it was annoying.)
Tip #2: This lipstick is almost impossible to remove, except for this trick I accidentally found out.  Layer on a lip moisturizer over the lipstick and that loosens the color, making it easier for removal.  I tried everything, including a makeup remover and nothing worked but that.  Some people have suggested an oil based cleanser so I may try that.

Final Verdict: Even layered over a lip moisturizer, my lips just felt way too dry and a little sticky for comfort.  I love the shades, but I don't think I'd purchase these lippies again.

And here is Pioneer on!  I'm not a matchy-matchy type, but I loved how this red shade complimented the tank I'm wearing.  It will be a great pop of color for future outfits as well.

I received these lipsticks complimentary from Influenster and Maybelline.  All opinions shared above are my own.

A good dry shampoo can be hard to find.  When I saw that Hask haircare had a line of dry shampoos, I knew I had to give it a try.  As a huge fan of Hask Haircare (see my reviews here and here), I had high hopes and this did not disappoint!

It was a hard choice between the 4 dry shampoo options, but I chose to try the Chia Seed Volumizing Dry Shampoo (because what girl doesn't want voluminous hair?!)  In case you're curious, the other options include Argan, Charcoal Purifying (trying this next!) and Coconut.

This was really easy to use.  I sectioned off my hair, sprayed and lightly brushed out my roots.  I liked that this didn't leave a white residue like some other dry shampoos.  I tend to have oily hair, so dry shampoo can be a lifesaver, especially on the rare occasion that I straighten my hair.  I found this to last for most of the day (longer than any other dry shampoos I've tried) and it felt really lightweight on my hair.  As for volume, I can't say that it was exceptionally volumizing but I did notice a little extra bounce to my hair.  But what really drew me in was the scent; this had a light floral scent that I couldn't get enough of.

Hask dry shampoos are also free of sulfates, parabens and other unnecessary ingredients and is a cruelty free brand.  This is very important to me as I look for products that don't use chemicals and protect colored hair from fading.

Just like other Hask products, I loved the packaging.  You get a generous sized bottle all for under $10!  If you're in the market for buying a dry shampoo, I highly recommend giving this a try.  You can find them at Ulta in-store and online.

Recently my sister and I tried out our first Painting With A Twist class.  It's something we've been wanting to do for a while.  Spoiler...we had a blast!  I wanted to share my experience with all of you.  Keep scrolling down and you'll see my actual painting as well.

For me, one of the hardest parts about Painting With A Twist was deciding what class to take!  Luckily there are so many painting options, and time slots, which is great.  This carnival painting reminded me of a recent trip I took to Coney Island so it called out to me and that's what we decided on.  The registration process was so easy and we were quickly registered for 2 spots.

How cute is this setup?  We were warmly greeted upon arrival and the staff is so personable that I felt comfortable and ready to tackle the painting!  We learned that the summer is a slower season for Painting With A Twist, so we were lucky enough to have a private painting class!  Though these classes are designed for all artistic levels, our instructor Shannon made the directions so easy to follow.

Check out the colors in the background!  So pretty right?  The second half of the painting was a little harder because of how busy it is.  Shannon gave us great instructions and gave us the option to personalize our paintings which I loved.

Our class was 2 hours, but Shannon was kind enough to let us stay a little longer to finish up.  Here are our final paintings - I love the way they turned out!  Did you know that Painting With A Twist also offers one hour each month for anyone who wants to polish or add to your painting?

I couldn't wait to set up my painting today.  It has already found a comfy spot in the house among all my favorite accessories so I'll be checking out my handiwork everyday!

My sister and I are already talking about trying some fall classes.  Another class that we thought sounded interesting is Paint Your Pet.  They also do private parties, so this would be a fun idea for a birthday activity, date night, bachelorette, fundraiser or more!

Do you have a Painting With A Twist class near you?  What painting would you choose?  Let me know in the comments below.

Recently I got together with some of my blogger friends to enjoy an evening at Penn's Landing and Spruce Street Harbor Park.  If you haven't checked it out yet, what are you waiting for?!  Penn's Landing has a roller skating rink and carnival (think Ferris Wheel, Merry-Go-Round, games, etc.)  Spruce Street is the coolest pop-up that has a beer garden, hammocks, games, boardwalk food, and lots more.

left to right: Chelsea of Organized Mess, Susan of Susan Padron Stylist, EM of Lark & Lace, Moi, and Melissa of Skinny Affair

Does my outfit look familiar to you?  I styled the crop top here and the pants here, but I think they pair so perfectly together!

To me, summer style is all about breathable fabrics, bright colors, and nude accessories!  I'm especially loving music festival styles and that's what I was going for this time.  My outfit is pretty tame, but I was also under the impression that we were attempting roller skating (and obviously skates + dresses = not a good idea!)  This cropped halter top is my favorite this season.  I haven't come across top as unique yet and it's been comfy for the hot weather.

These sunglasses are my favorite!  I love the flowers around the frame, such a pretty detail.  If you're in Doylestown, make sure to stop by Serendipity; it's the cutest little boutique!

MBS Lace Halter Top | Forever21 High Waist Denim | Charlotte Russe sandals, old | Sonoma Crossbody (comes in 2 other colors!) | Floral Sunnies (I snagged this at Serendipity, a local Doylestown Boutique)

And here are the other looks!  Be sure to check out their blogs, which I linked below, for more on their looks!

Of course no summer night is complete without ice cream, so we indulged!

A huge thank you to Brendan (EM's wonderful hubby) for being our amazing photographer.  Be sure to follow along to see what we style next month...

I've been a longtime lover of vintage styles, but never took the time to create an outfit with a vintage vibe.  However when I saw this cherry skirt, I knew it was the perfect piece to create that look.  The skirt is from Amazon and comes in a variety of other fun prints.  I'm a sucker for whimsical prints so of course I gravitated towards the cherries!  I ordered my typical skirt size and it fit perfectly.  Also the fabric has a nice sheen so it looks and feels more expensive that it is, but $10 is such a steal regardless!

I also have to give a shoutout to this red cami which matched that skirt perfectly (it also looks so cute with denim.)  That vivid red is such a flattering color for everyone, right?!  It comes in a few colors, so I may need to get one of each.  They are the perfect staple cami.  I snagged this piece from 599Fashion - I'll be sharing more about them in a future post so stay tuned for that.

And finally, I'm sorry in advance for how much you'll be seeing this wedge and bucket bag combo.  I remember falling in love with a similar Tory Burch style and I had to snag them when I saw them at Charlotte Russe.  These wedges are so comfy - there are a few sizes still available so grab them if you can!

I received the skirt at a discounted price in exchange for a review.  All opinions shared above are my own.

Black Cami, old | Forever21 High Waist Denim | Madden NYC Duster Vest | Crossbody, old | Aldo Sandals, old

Happy Monday loves!  Today I'm sharing another outfit I took with me on my recent NYC trip!  I'm a huge fan of vests, and I had been eyeing some longer versions for summer when I came across this duster vest.  I loved the lightweight material and the abstract feather print caught my eye immediately.  The black and white combo also pairs well with many looks.  This is one size and will work well for different heights, including petites!

I'm also obsessed with these high-waisted jeans that I got from Forever21 (which also comes in 2 other finishes!)  I was looking for a light wash to pair with crop tops and these are perfect.  They are also the comfiest jeans I own - I highly recommend getting a pair.  Be sure to come back later this week to see the pants styled another way!

MBS Lace Halter Crop | H&M Asymmetrcial Mini, old (see some other options below!) | ZooShoo Heels | Lauren Conrad Bucket Bag

Happy Wednesday!  Today I wanted to share one of my new favorite tops with you - this pretty crop with lace detailing.  There are so many things about this top that make it worth adding to your closet. First off, I love the crop length.  I paired it here with a mini but it looks equally cute with high waisted shorts or denim (I also styled it that way, stay tuned for more photos of that!)  The white is a perfect shade for summer, and looks so cute paired with printed pieces (blue and white stripes, am I right?) Let's not forget that amazing lace through the front of the top, which leads to the prettiest neckline.  In terms of sizing, I sized up to be safe, but I could have taken my usual size.

I love this skirt, though I wear it more in the fall/winter.  However I think the asymmetrical style is so cute for summer, which is why I wanted to showcase that shape.  Pair with some heels and a fun bag and you're good to go!
