May 2018 | Paint The Town Chic
Lately I've been all about trying new trends and buying things I normally wouldn't buy or wear!  I wanted to share 3 of those styles that I've had my eye on featuring pieces from Zaful!

Wide Leg Pants
I cannot get enough of fun pants, and now that the heat is upon us, I'm looking for options made of light fabric.  Between the stripes, the wide leg style, and the ruffles, I couldn't find a pair of pants with details that called to me more than these!

Style Tip: Pair this with your favorite tee (or tank) and espadrilles for a comfy wear-to-work look!

Cherry Print Dress
It's no secret that I love prints, but I always love a whimsical fruit print for summer.  What screams summer more than a cherry dress!  The feminine straps and the cute cutout on the back are the perfect addition to the sundress.

Style Tip: Pair this with sneakers and a denim jacket for brunch with the ladies!

White Eyelet Romper
The color of summer is white.  And one of my favorite fabrics to wear is eyelet.  Pair them together and you get this cute romper.  It's great for so many occasions and can be dressed up or down!

Style Tip: Pair with wedges and a straw tote for a day on the beach!

These are just a few of the cute pieces you can find at Zaful.  You can probably tell I'm all about dressing outfits down these days.

If you're curious about Zaful, check out these reviews of pieces I've gotten including this Floral Jumpsuit, this Sundress, and this Floral Tunic!  I've had a great experience with all of my previous pieces and I can't wait to pick out some new summer pieces!

Escape Tote c/o - Use code ESCAPE for 10% off your tote at The Little Apple (until 5/29)

It feels like we flew through May!  I for one am looking forward to a long weekend and the start of summer fun.  I've had such a busy month attending events and finding things to do around Philly which would be perfect for this weekend, some of which I'm sharing below!  But first, how cute is this tote, which I got from The Little Apple in Manayunk!  It's super high quality, durable and just plain cute.  The tote also comes in olive or black.

Dress | Wedges, old (but similar here) | Denim Jacket, old (but similar here)

3 Things To Do In Philly For Memorial Day (or all summer!)

I always feel that Philly comes alive in summer.  Today I'm sharing just 3 things to do for Memorial Day, and beyond, for anyone who is visiting or lives in Philly!

  • Photo Pop Philly - Guys, I'm obsessed with Photo Pop, the first interactive exhibit in Philly (think along the lines of Museum of Ice Cream but featuring local Philly artists!)  I had the chance to preview it earlier this week and the photo opps are just never-ending.  Each exhibit was carefully designed to fit into the red, white and blue theme, perfect for Memorial Day.  Entry is $25 and you can purchase tickets here.
Tip:  End your visit with a trip to Scoop De Ville, which is right next door.  The ice cream is
amazing the shop is super cute.

  • Morgan's Pier - I attended MANNA's Guac Off at Morgan's Pier last night and it reminded me of how much fun this venue is.  The restaurant/bar is situated next to the river and you can't beat the view.  I've only been for happy hour, but the pretzel and the french fries are yummy but I can't wait to go back for brunch and/or dinner.
Tip: Dine on the upper deck if you can.  The views are amazing - see above!

  • Penn's Landing Summerfest & Spruce Street Harbor Park - Just down the road from Morgan's Pier you can find two of my favorite spots in Philly!  Spruce Street has become a Philly favorite since it opened a few years ago, and features restaurants and entertainment in a boardwalk-like setting (it's the closest you're getting to the beach in Philly!)  If you're in the mood for ice cream (yes, again with the ice cream but it's summer, right?!), stop by Franklin Fountain and get the peanut butter ice cream!  I also checked out Summerfest this month and it's just as great as I remember.  Lots of rides, amusement park entertainment, a roller skating rink and food (get the funnel cake and the crab fries - you'll thank me later!) Both of these venues are kid friendly!
Tip: Stop by for a bite at the Moshulu - a restored ship with a cool outdoor bar that serves
         delicious food/drinks!

I'll be sharing more fun stuff to do in Philly, so stay tuned.  I'm also going to get on a more consistent blogging schedule in June (fingers crossed) but make sure you're following me on Insta as I've been more active posting there!

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend loves!

Denim Dress (less than $25!) | Golden Tote Lace Top, old | Espadrilles, old (but this color combo is available in all sizes) | Straw Basket, old

I love denim...and I love layering...but I think of both for fall/winter looks.  Until now!  I've been obsessed with denim dresses lately, and came across the perfect lightweight chambray dress that will be great for summer.  The details on the dress are what make it stand out, like the frayed hem and the button details along the side.

The dress looks cute on its own, but I wanted to try something different and layer it over my favorite lace top.  By pairing them together, it transforms both pieces into a new look (always great when building a wardrobe) and I loved the end result.  The lace top is also light enough that I could wear it into summer as well.

I topped off the look with my favorite espadrilles that I bought last year.  This white isn't available any longer, but there is another neutral option that will match everything.

Finally, I just wanted to shoutout this beautiful bouquet which is from The Bouqs.  The Bouqs is a cut to order flower delivery service that uses organic farms to source their blooms!  So not only do they look good, buying from them makes you feel good as well.  I loved collaborating with them to share this service with you!

This year's The Blog Connect conference was definitely an inspiration day!  Not only were there such talented speakers, we had delicious food, the cutest photo opps (thanks AC Moore for the flower wall!) amazing swag bags and of course great company!

The Blog Connect Team (left to right) Ainsley, me, Chrystina, Melissa, and Sarah

I had such a great time working with team to bring this conference to life.  Be sure to check out the Day 1 recap as well to see more of my favorite parts of the weekend.

First off, we couldn't have a better venue than Saxby's.  Their headquarters is such a cool, modern space and who can resist ALL the coffee and tea you can drink??!!  The iced chai tea latte is amazing by the way!

Chrystina did a great recap of the speakers, so check out this post which lists highlights from every session!  All of the speakers left some wisdom that I will take moving forward, but what stood out was staying true to yourself, posting things that you are proud of, and numbers aren't the only thing that matters when it comes to collaborations.

Another of my favorite things was the mood board crafting session.  I'm always up for arts and crafts and Sarah Moore did a great job leading the session.

Of course food is an important part of any event!  And we had plenty of it.  Snap Kitchen provided such a yummy lunch.  I tried the chicken salad with a gluten free wrap (first time I've tried gluten free) and I was impressed with how delicious it was.  We also had snacks from PopChips, RX Bar and Made in Nature.  And now I'm obsessed with Hint Water - try it, you won't regret it.

Finally, let's talk swag.  We had the cutest notebooks thanks to Lulu.  And amazing swag sponsors this year, including AC Moore who provided us with their own tote filled with goodies!

It was such a great weekend.  If you're in the Philly area, definitely check out PHLbloggers for some great networking and educational events!

Thanks Tim Becker Photography for the photos from the conference!

It all seems like a whirlwind now, but this year's Blog Connect Conference took place a week ago.  It was so much fun once again being part of the planning committee.  I also learned so much from my fellow bloggers during the conference which inspired me to get back into the groove.  In today's recap, I wanted to share some of favorite parts of the Pre-Party!

Day 1: Pre-Party At Torc Yoga
My biggest task was helping to plan the Party.  I couldn't have found a more perfect venue than Torc Yoga - between the beautiful studio space and the nicest owner/staff, it was a wonderful experience!  And they have the coolest classes like acroyoga, but more on that later...

We had three activities for guests, including Plant Nite (which I am obsessed with - check out this review for a true Plant Nite experience); wine glass making with AC Moore, and a Cut + Paste photo booth.
I am happy to say that my succulent is still going strong...here's a peek of it!
Making wine glasses was also a blast.
We had delicious food and drinks, like Insomnia Cookies which I've loved since college (I highly recommend the Snickerdoodle) and Commonwealth Ciders.
And of course great company!
Oh yeah, did I mention the acroyoga?!  It was a very cool experience!
Stay tuned for Part 2 of the recap!

Patterns & Pops Tee, old | Mesh Embroidered Skirt (found in Ross Stores, but linked other options below) | Charlotte Russe Booties, old | Crossbody (found in Ross Stores)

Guys, it's May!  Where has the time gone? April was so busy with the launch of Seed Phytonutrients for work and helping plan the PHLBloggers Blog Connect conference (more on this to come!)  I had to take a break from blogging for a bit but my goal is to be more consistent starting this month!

Let's talk fashion.  I've had this outfit for a while to share with you, and I am absolutely still loving embroidered skirts.  What's not to love about this feminine style with colorful details.  I found my skirt at Ross and it was love at first sight, but I linked some other gorgeous options including some spring pastels.

The best part about the embroidered skirt - it can be styled in so many ways.  The versatility allows for it to be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.  I wanted to share 3 of my favorite ways to wear them...

3 Ways To Style An Embroidered Skirt
  • Edgy: A graphic tee, moto jacket and booties will give your outfit a little edge that's perfect for transitioning from day to night!
  • Dressy: An OTS blouse and heels dress the skirt up just enough to wear for work or a special event.
  • Casual: A slouchy sweatshirt/tee and Keds make this the perfect casually put together look for a weekend brunch!

I would love to know how you would style this type of skirt for spring!
