March 2014 - Paint The Town Chic
Just like any shopping addict, I'm always on the lookout for a good bargain.  I'm signed up for a few discount shopping sites, such as Rue La La and Gilt, but I came across HauteLook after doing a search and decided to give it a try!  The site is associated with Nordstrom Rack, and offers fantastic values on popular brands and trendy fashions.  I recently made my first purchase and just received all of the items.

The first item purchased was the Jessica Simpson Pom Pom Trim Dress.  This gray floral dress has a gorgeous silky feel and the hot pink belt really pops against the dress.  Not sure if I'll wear the belt with the dress, but we'll see; I do love that color!  The weather is supposed to warm up later this week and I'm planning to wear it-stay tuned for photos of how it's styled!

I just can't get enough of this print-so perfect for the spring!

The next piece I decided to buy was this Bansri Carmelita Floral Statement Necklace.  The bright orange color caught my eye, especially because I don't have much in this color.  I think it'll look great with a navy or black dress.

The last item purchased was this Cam & Zooey Wrapped Stone Bracelet.  Gorgeous color combination with the blues and the large green tinted clear stone in the middle.  I wore the bracelet today with the Tete-a-Tete Lilly Pulitzer Murfee as my pops of color against a white blouse!

HauteLook constantly changes their brand selections, so it's worth signing up for the email list or  downloading the app to get alerts.  The only thing I didn't like was that it took longer to ship than most online shops, but maybe I just couldn't wait to have these pieces in my possession!  If you are interested in signing up for HauteLook, please use my referral link and be sure to let me know what catches your eye!

Happy Tuesday!

I'm (hopefully) taking my spring wardrobe out of hiding, and I wanted to share a few of my favorite trends of the season.

3.) Daisy/Floral Prints
I love a good bold floral, but never bought anything in a daisy print.  I just scored this cute black and white daisy print dress that I can't wait to style with a pop of color!  And it's currently on sale online!

I love color and fun prints, and this has both.  The cute back doesn't hurt either!

2.) Chunky Sandals
I'm not a big fan of flip flops, which I can't wear to work anyway, so these chunky heeled sandals are the perfect item to pair with a dress or skinny jeans.  I think I need to add both of these to my collection!

1.) Off-the-Shoulder
I'm loving off-the-shoulder tops and dresses right now.  I've always loved the look, and am on the search for the perfect ruffled top or dress.  Feel free to pass any suggestions my way!

Thanks for reading!

I wanted to share a little more about what I do, since that also affects my wardrobe!  I do the marketing and events for West Laurel Hill Cemetery.  We host amazing events, such as an Easter Egg Hunt, Kentucky Derby Party, and a Beer Tour and Tasting.  We also attend a variety of community galas and events, all of which I'll be sharing as they come along!

Thanks for visiting my blog!  My name is Priyanka and I'm excited to share my adventures and interests with you.  I went to Drexel University in Philadelphia and now work in marketing and events just outside the city.  Currently I'm taking graphic design classes and love all things design.  Some of my other interests include fashion and shopping, art, and travel, which you will see throughout the blog.  More details about my fabulous job next time...

Loving the view in Philly!
