Guys, I recently experienced my first ever facial!  I had no idea what to expect and I won't lie, I was definitely nervous about doing anything to my face.  However I knew I was in good hands at 3000 BC Center City.
Before we get into my experience, how gorgeous is this spa?!  This is 3000 BC's second location (the first being in Chestnut Hill) and I'm so glad for this new spot.  They do offer different services at the locations so be sure to check their site before stopping in.
The first stop of the day was to get a Visia Face Analysis.  This handy machine analyzes various factors on your skin to determine relative skin age.  This really opens your eyes to any damage your skin may have.
Here's my analysis.  It was a quick and easy process, and I was happy to see my skin is doing great (I'll be sharing my morning and nightly skincare routines soon so I can share my secrets!)  The great part about getting the analysis is that the team at 3000 BC can suggest a regimen to improve any skin concerns.

Next it was off to the facial!  I started with dermaplaning, which removes all the dead skin and peach fuzz on your face.  My esthetician suggested it as it helps with a deeper clean and allows all the moisturizers soak in better.  Then came the HydraFacial.

The HydraFacial is a multi-step resurfacing procedure that provides cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, and hydration, including Vortex-Fusion® of antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid.  I really appreciated that my esthetician explained all of the steps and what they did for my skin along the way.
Overall the entire procedure took just under an hour and while it wasn't painful, there were parts that were a little uncomfortable.  Not enough for me to stop getting these facials again though.  There was no redness or effects after the facial so you can go about the day immediately after which I appreciated.  And my face just felt so fresh and glowy for a while even after the procedure.

The HydraFacial can be done in 30 minutes, making it a great way to spend a lunch break if you work in the area.

If you're wondering whether to try one, it's great for all skin types, particularly targeting wrinkles, skin tone, oily skin, enlarged pores, and more.  Basically anyone and everyone should try this at least once!  You can read more on the HydraFacial here.
This facial also got me thinking about my skincare routine and more specifically, using SPF everyday to protect my face!  I found out that 3000 BC specially makes skincare products and sunscreen with unique formulas and scents which I really appreciated.  I took home their SPF sand have been using it almost everyday!

The entire staff was wonderful and I really enjoyed my experience at 3000 BC Center City.  I cannot wait to go back!

Special thanks to 3000 BC for inviting me to experience their services.  I received these services complimentary in exchange for a review.  All opinions are my own.
