Blazer, (sold out, similar here) | Maxi Dress | Sneakers, old | Earrings | Hair Scarf

Move over millennial pink, there's a new power color in town. And let me say that I am obsessed. Purple has made such a statement over the past few months on the runway and in stores. I've been adding new purple pieces into my wardrobe and I can't wait to share more styling tips with you. But since I'm such a fan of this trend, so I wanted to include a roundup of clothes, accessories and makeup featuring this gorgeous hue right away so you can get the look now too!

I've gravitated more to the pastel shades, like the lavender of my blazer here. This blazer is part of a set that I picked up for Philly Fashion Week earlier this year. I was drawn to the color, obviously, and thought it would be a fun way to try the power suit trend. Unfortunately it's sold out now, but keep reading for some other pretty pieces!

I've been trying to incorporate purple into my accessories and makeup as well. This cute tie-dye scarf has hints of purple and also features my other favorite, tie dye, and comes in under $10! I also snagged this purple clutch that I recently shared on Instagram and can't wait to wear out.
Makeup is next on my list to play around with. I love purple eyeliner because it makes brown eyes pop. And purple nail polish is one of my go-tos, especially the lighter shades because they can appear more as neutrals. But I'm really into the looks I've been seeing with pastel purple eyeshadow and I can't wait to give that a try.
One last note about about this outfit. I'm always looking for ways to mix completely different types of pieces together and this look features a mix of business, trendy and casual. It's fun to find ways to repurpose clothes in your closet that you haven't reached for. I recommend giving it a try and see what you come up with!
Lavender, lilac, periwinkle. Whatever shade it is, I'm a fan. What do you think about purple taking over spring/summer?
