Can't believe this is the last Ipsy bag for 2014!

1.) Beauty Without Cruelty A.H.A 3% Facial Cleanser - Let's start with the hidden gem of this month's bag.  This face wash had a slight herbal scent, which reminds me of Aveda products.  This light formula made my face feel clean and wasn't overly drying, which is very important to me!  I still always use a moisturizer after washing my face.  Based on the website, looks like Beauty Without Cruelty makes a moisturizer as well!  This was my favorite item of the bag.

2.) Swissco Eyelash Curler - Of all my features, I love playing up my eyes, but I have never been one for using an eyelash curler.  So I was excited to see this as part of my Ipsy bag.  I think I have to play around with this a bit more to see if it will be part of my everyday routine!

3.) Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara - To continue with the eye makeup theme, I was excited to see this mascara in my bag!  I love Tarte products, but I haven't tried mascara from the brand yet.  I hear only good things about it, but as I have a few mascaras already open, I'm saving this for another time!

4.) Pixi by Petra Fairy Dust in Brightening Bare - I've liked other Pixi products that I've tried, but this is definitely not something I would purchase on my own.  I'm not impressed with this product. It's a loose powder that can be used as an eyeshadow or highlighter.  The color was a nice neutral (see the swatches below in natural light and then with the flash.)  It was suggested to add water to create a more intense look, but that didn't work for me.  It just didn't' blend at all with the water.  Cute packaging and the applicator didn't bother me, though some complained that it didn't pick up the product.  I like to start small and build up, so that wasn't an issue.  Some of the other shades are nice, but I probably wouldn't purchase this again!

5.) NYX Cosmetics Butter Lip Balm in Marshmallow - NYX is another brand that I've discovered through Ipsy and I'm loving everything I try!  The Lip Butter did feel like butter when applied, and my lips felt moisturized!  The color though was not so great; it was too light for my lips.  Again, disappointed that I keep receiving nude shades from Ipsy.  But I will  pick up some of the darker shades.

* Bonus * J. Cat Wonder Lip Paint in  Red Potion - I finally traded some Ipsy points for this J. Cat Lip Paint and this was the first time I used a product like this.  I read mixed reviews, so I wasn't sure what to expect.  Well...it wasn't terrible!  I already had the NYX Butter Balm on my lips, which seemed to be a good primer.  It definitely needed a lip liner to keep the product in place.  I also put a dab of the lip paint on my wrist and used my finger to apply which was a great way of building up the color to what I wanted.  I liked the color more a few hours into wearing it!  Look forward to using this more!

The December bag was simple, but cute.  Nothing special, but probably one I'll hold onto.  Overall, not an impressive month, but I'm looking forward to what Ipsy comes out with for 2015!
