January 2017 | Paint The Town Chic
Target Velvet Cami | Autumn Olive Boutique Lacie Cardigan (also comes in black!)| Lauren Conrad Denim, old | OTK boots, old | Bow Choker, old (love this)

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, so I wanted to share some outfit inspiration for my ladies who don't wear dresses!  I got this velvet cami over the holidays after falling in love with the rich hue and the pretty floral detailing.  Clearly it's also a great contender for Valentine's Day.  I tagged a few other velvet tank as well as burgundy options below!

I'm really loving a colorful tank tucked into black skinnies (remember this post?!)  Just throw on some booties and a comfy cardigan and you're good to go!

Periwinkle is one of my favorite shades.  In fact, I featured it over the summer with one of my favorite floral skirts (check out the post here!)  It's one of those shades that works all year, but I think it's the perfect shade to transition from winter to spring!  Periwinkle is also flattering on all skin types!

I rounded up some of my current favorite pieces in this post.  I'm especially crushing on the periwinkle lace dress and the pretty florals!  I'm also still loving cold shoulder pieces and ruffles.  So excited to add more blues to my wardrobe for spring!

Recently Influenster sent me a VoxBox with Maybelline goodies to test.  In case you didn't know, Maybelline is my favorite drugstore brand so I was thrilled to try these.  Below, you'll see a below and after using the Colossal Big Shot Mascara...

You can tell from the photos that the mascara clearly provides volume and length!  To get this look I had to use many coats, more so than other mascaras I've tried.  I think the brush was part of the problem because it didn't grip onto my lashes evenly.  However with a little wiggling and maneuvering, I think all of the lashes were coated.  The mascara is also long lasting, which sometimes is a good thing.  But in this case it didn't budge...at all, not even when I used makeup remover.  3 days later and I'm still feeling the remnants of the mascara.  I was not a huge fan of that either.

Aside from results, I'm a sucker for packaging.  I thought the gold tube was luxurious and fun!

Overall, the mascara was true to its word for providing volume, but I've tried better products.  I wouldn't purchase this again...but one of my favorite mascaras ever is Maybelline Falsies!

Valentine's Day is just weeks away, so today's Sunday Spotlight features some perfect red and pink pieces.  There are so many gorgeous red and pink dresses and clothing out there, it's so hard to pick just one! I'm dying over that Ted Baker heart sweater above.  I also recently styled this pretty pink midi dress (see the full post here.)  I think would be a great option, and it's less than $20!  Check out some other options below.

I recently snagged a Winky Lux Flower Balm from Cure de Repos, one of the cutest spas in Philly.  I'm obsessed with it.  It's a moisturizing balm that works with your pH balance to get the perfect pink stain!  Plus it has the prettiest flower in the middle.  They have additional makeup products that I can't wait to try, especially this Birthday Cake Gloss!!

GoldenTote Asymmetrical Top, not available | Old Navy Jeans, old | Skivvy Booties, old | Leopard Clutch, old | EveryMarket Ring c/o (less than $5!!) | Chloe + Isabel Retro Glam Bracelet

I've had a slow start to blogging in January (a combo of getting back after the holidays and the run of gloomy weekends this month) but I'm back to share a fun weekend outfit.  I recently got this adorable asymmetrical top in a clothing trade, and I'm in love with it.  The gold stripes add just a bit of sparkle to this casual top, but I'm more drawn to the asymmetrical hem.  Not only is a visual interesting detail, it draws attention away from problem areas, like hips or stomach!  I highly recommend tops with asymmetrical hems and am sharing some adorable options below.

I also have to point out the adorable ring I'm wearing above.  It's from EveryMarket, and I'm so impressed with the quality and how cheap it is (currently on sale for only $2!!)  The ring is adjustable, which is always a plus.  The only thing to be aware of is that shipping can take a while.

I've tried many cosmetics products, but every now and then I have the opportunity to try a new brand.  Recently I sampled makeup from the GA-DE fall line and they really blew me away with the quality and results of the products!

Basics Matte Eyeshadow Palette
I don't usually wear eyeshadow, but the shades in this palette may change my mind!  This multipurpose palette can be used for, shading, lining or brows.  The colors are perfectly coordinated to be mixed and matched.  The colors are very pigmented and compliment all skintones.  I'm partial to the browns, which create a pretty smokey eye!

Idyllic High Definition Volume & Length Mascara
Of all the beauty products out there, I can say mascara is my favorite.  I've tried high end brands, drugstore brands, pretty much anything you think of.  But this GA-DE mascara was different from any other I've tried.  The brush bristles were much smaller than others, which I prefer because that helps with coating every lash.  It definitely added volume and length as promised.  But my favorite part was the scent which lingered after the mascara dried.  Definitely one of my favorite mascaras!

High Precision Matte Eyeliner
I'm not usually a fan of liquid eyeliner, but I was impressed with the quality of this one.  One it dried, it smudged a little but because the pigment is so intense, I was still left with a perfect black line.  I recommend this for those who already use a liquid eyeliner.

Idyllic Soft Satin Lipstick
I was able to sample two of the twelve lipstick shades available.  Bare Chic is a nude pink and Wine Divine is a berry red.   Both of the shades are to die for, would look great on all skin tones, and perfect for the fall winter season.  The formula is made of ingredients that soften and plump lips.  I found the lipsticks to glide on smooth like a gloss, and the color deepened with additional applications.  They were very moisturizing and lasted a while.  I also loved the light scent, which reminded me of vanilla sugar.  I was very impressed with these lipsticks and highly recommend them.

(Left - no makeup; Middle - Wine Divine Lipstick & Idyllic Mascara; Right - Bare Chic Lipstick & Idyllic Mascara)
(Above - no makeup; Below - 2 coats of Idyllic Mascara)
(GA-DE Matte Eyeshadow Palette Swatches)

Overall, I'm so impressed with the fall GA-DE line!  It's not often you encounter a makeup brand that is different from what's out there, so I was very pleased with all of these items.  I'm sharing a special code to try out GA-DE and experience how amazing the products are for yourself!

Let's take a poll - how many of you have killer shoes in your closet that you don't wear because they are so painful?!  I sure do, but today I'm sharing a secret weapon that will change you mind about those uncomfy shoes.  I recently sampled Sole Patches, a new product that eliminates the pain and soreness that comes with heels.

What Is Sole Patches?
Sole Patches are adhesive pads created to eliminate pain and soreness from wearing heels.  They also prevent feet from sliding in shoes, which I hate!

How Do You Use Sole Patches?
There are a few options for using Sole Patches!  It is suggested that you apply the pad to the balls of your feet (don't worry-they are built to stay on your feet without fall off!)  I didn't find this to be appealing, so I chose the alternate of placing them inside my shoes.  Putting them directly in the shoes is more permanent as well.  You can also place these on heels or wherever pain is a problem.

Where Can You Find Sole Patches?
You can purchase Sole Patches online!  For under $10, you get a package of 6 pads!

Final Verdict:
This definitely takes some getting used to.  The pads felt uncomfortable at first, but once I got over the initial discomfort I did find my feet to be less sore at the end of the day.  These pads will definitely entice me to wear my uncomfortable shoes in the future!

Midi Dress (less than $20!) | ZooShoo OTK Boots | Coat, old | Leopard Scarf, old (similar here) | BaubleBar Crispin Drops Earrings

I'm finally back with the first outfit post of the new year!  I got sick right after New Year's and I'm finally just feeling better.  I recently got this midi dress from Amazon and it's such a pretty pastel for winter (and Valentine's Day-it's not too early for planning, right!)  The dress is is actually really comfy, but beware - this material is somewhat see-through and shows everything!  Nothing a little layering couldn't fix though.  I loved the midi length and if you're not a fan of pink, this dress comes in a variety of other colors.
