Galentine's Day is the one day of the year dedicated to celebrating our gal pals! There are so many ways to celebrate, but if you're looking for something other than brunch or happy hour (though I do love those), keep reading for a round-up of unique girls night out ideas for Galentine's Day and beyond!

PaddyWax Candle Bar
Paddywax candle making
Have you ever made a candle? If not, book a party right away because this is such a fun experience. From picking your scent, to selecting a reusable vessel for your candle, there is no detail that is forgotten. The instructor guides you through every step, so this activity is great for anyone.

Painting With A Twist
Painting With A Twist Paint Night
If you haven't tried Painting With A Twist, you're in for a treat! You don't have to be an artist to enjoy this BYOB event. They have all different kinds of paintings, so definitely check out their site to see what's coming up.

Theater Night at the Kimmel Center
Kimmel Center Mean Girls theater show
I recently had the opportunity to see Mean Girls at the Kimmel Center, and what a fun experience that was. I hadn't been to a show since high school and forgot how fun it is. I will for sure be attending more theater performances, and hoping to make it to Broadway this year as well.

Philly's arts scene is pretty substantial, and another event I want to check out is the First Person Arts Valentine’s Day Ex-Files story slam!

Founding Footsteps Tour
Founding Footsteps Trolley Tour
Being a tourist in your own city can be fun, but what's even better is a BYOB tour that shares facts that even a seasoned Philadelphian may not know. Over the holiday, I got a preview of the seasonal lights tour and it was so fun to see the different neighborhoods all lit up. Founding Footsteps has new tours every season, so be sure to check out their schedule to see what's coming up.

Flower Arranging
Flower Arranging
Crafting has clearly become a theme here, but the Craft Haus flower arranging class was such a blast. Not only do you learn tips from the experts, you get to take home your work of art! I've also done Plant Nite and similar events that encourage my plant obsession.
Looking for more ideas? What about trying a new workout class or volunteering at a local non-profit? A cooking class would be fun too. Maybe even creating custom makeup (I've been dying to make my own Bite Beauty lippie!)
