Paint The Town Chic
After the success of the Milly for Kohls collab, I went into my local store to check out the new Thakoon collection, but it ended up not being my style.  My store had a limited selection, so I'll be checking it out online to see if I want anything.  But I didn't come home empty handed.  I ended trying pieces from Lauren Conrad's new Runway Limited Edition Collection and it's AMAZING!  The prints, the cuts, everything is gorgeous.  I wanted to share my thoughts on what I tried on today and I will be back to try on some of the others (and grab a few more pieces!)  Excuse the quality of the photos!

Floral Scuba Skirt
I'm a sucker for floral prints, but what caught my eye was the beautiful shape of this skirt.  I have the Whisper Pink print on in the photo, but Green Gables was also stunning in person and is the perfect fall floral.  I don't own anything in that green, so I definitely want that skirt.  I think I may "need" all the prints this skirt comes in!

Lace Trim Blouse
I'm really loving the high necklines that aren't turtlenecks, so this caught my eye.  I loved the lace trim details as well.  But aside from being see-through, this blouse seemed to run a bit small; the arms felt tight on me.  I really love how beautiful these two pieces look together, so I would consider sizing up, and finding a matching cami.

Pleated Blouse
Right now, I'm loving critter prints.  I can't get enough of them.  And when I saw this adorable fox printed tank, I had to try it on.  The colors give it a vintage look, and this tank can be worn casually or dressed up for work.  This does come with a few buttons up top, so be warned if you suffer from the dreaded boob-gap problem!  I had a slight issue, but not enough to prevent me from buying this or sizing up.  It's a flattering fit and also comes in 2 other options, a floral print and a pretty green!

Coated Leggings
The leather/pleather look doesn't seem to be going anywhere, which is great because I found these leggings just in time for the cooler weather.  My body type doesn't work for those structured leather pants, but I do like the look of them.  These leggings are stretchy and so comfy, but are definitely dressier than any other leggings I own.  I brought these home today in blue (there's also black and olive) and will be pairing with the tank above once I get that!

I believe both of these pieces are from a fall collection, not Runway, but I couldn't resist trying them on.

Bow Scoopneck Sweater
And lastly I tried on this sweater with the bow appliqués.  There is also a bow that you tie in the back.  Really pretty details all around, as Lauren Conrad always does.  Again, it comes in three color options (I'm noticing a pattern here) and all of the options are light hues.  Unfortunately I'm looking for some color for the fall.  As much as I love this, there are some other pieces that I'm loving more.

What do you think of Lauren Conrad's new collections?  I'm loving everything!

Beautiful details of the cranberry Quinn Tote, c/o Jordana Paige!

Now that you had a chance to check out this gorgeous Jordana Paige Quinn Tote in this previous post, here's an "inside" look at what I'm keeping in my bag!  I wanted to get it over to you earlier, but it's been crazy busy (life of an event planner) and so gloomy (rain, rain go away!)

This is definitely the Mary Poppins bag of all bags.  It looks pretty roomy on the outside, but once unzipped, it's a mecca of pockets and organized space.  Since I'm always on the go, I pretty much carry my life around with me.  With all of my old totes, it's been hard to stay organized because I throw everything in one big pocket.  Problem solved now...
Just a few essentials I'm carrying in the Quinn Tote!

It's really difficult to photograph the roominess of the bag, but it definitely holds a large quantity of stuff!  There are multiple pockets of various sizes to be used.  I like to keep my laptop separated from my other items, so I've claimed the smaller of the two large compartments for it.  The zippered pocket in the middle is great for any items you want to keep hidden.

Then comes my favorite part...the larger pocket is where I'm keeping my makeup and hair products in case I need to freshen up before a night event!  I keep everything separated in smaller clutches, which you see above!  I also love the designated area for my water bottle which holds it in place!  I'm using the other water bottle pocket to keep snacks!  I also keep a notepad at all times, along with pens, business cards and other necessary work items.

In addition to the larger pockets, there are smaller ones that line the bag, as well as a removable pouch.  I will be using that pouch to keep the extra change that once lined the bottom of my old tote.  My phone and keys now get their own pockets near the top because I need to easily access them.  I haven't decided what will be in the rest of the smaller pockets, but I'm sure I'll find a use quickly!

Yes, I keep all of these with my on a daily basis...tell me I'm not the only one!  If you're looking for a new everyday tote, I highly recommend the Quinn!  It's roomy enough for work, but stylish enough to take out for a night on the town!  I love the Cranberry color for fall, but it has come in other colors so be sure to check the website every season to see what's new!

Fantastic Fawn Tunic (from Moxie Style, sold out but check out similar tops here)  | New York & Company Leggings | Jordana Paige Quinn Bag in Cranberry c/o | Booties, old

The Oversized Tunic
I'm scooping up all oversized tunics and sweaters this season.  I'm not a huge fan of tie-dye, but I couldn't resist this adorable top from Moxie Style.  I can't believe how comfy it is.  This top in particular is see through, but this print is sold out from the site.  There are a few other options, and many are $10 or less!

The Leggings
The majority of my fall and winter outfits involve leggings.  They are so comfy and warm, and perfectly acceptable in public!  For casual outfits, I love pairing them with oversized tops.  For work, I style them with my dresses instead of tights because they are warmer.  My favorite leggings come from New York & Company and Kohls (Lauren Conrad brand!) I'm now looking to get some printed leggings to pair with solid tops!

The Purse
Once the cooler weather hits, the fall bags come out.  This Jordana Paige Quinn bag has been a lifesaver!  If you're like me, you tend to carry your life in your purse, and this bag has plenty of compartments to accommodate that!  Aside from the size, the detailing is gorgeous and I'm in love with the deep red shade.  It's definitely a statement piece.  The Quinn bag also comes in a gorgeous tan shade that's more versatile.

The Booties
I couldn't wait to pull out my boot and booties from hibernation!  This pair from Kohls is a few seasons old but still has some life left.  I especially love pairing my brown boots with a black outfit!  I can't wait to add some new pairs to my collection this year; my favorite time to stock up is during Black Friday!

The Makeup
I tend to wear more makeup during the cooler months.  I'm loving deeper shades this fall, and I am pleasantly surprised by the Hikari Lip Gloss from last month's Ipsy bag!  I'm wearing the shade Merlot!  It's a low key shade that I could probably get away with on a daily basis.

The Hair
I recently got picked for the Kerastase Voxbox from Influenster and I just have to quickly talk about how amazing the products are!  My hair is very frizzy and became somewhat unmanageable due to the humidity this summer.  You can see in the top photo that my hair is much smoother, only after one use!  And I don't have any product in my hair...yet.  A more in depth review will be coming shortly!

Between the numerous interior pockets and the perfect fall shade, this Jordana Paige bag is quickly becoming a favorite!  Come back on Monday to get a closer look at what's inside my bag!

Lilly Pulitzer Dress, old (but the Clarke dress comes in this new print and I'm obsessed!) | Moxie Style Sweater (sold out, but follow them on Facebook for the most up to date and exciting sales!) | Boots, old | ShopJazzyK Necklace

It's been a while since I've properly shared an outfit post, and that's because its been crazy with planning for upcoming events at my work.  But now I'm back with a quick look at my first fall outfit! Since most of my dresses are meant for the summer, I love to layer with sweaters, tights and boots to extend the wear.

One item that is quickly becoming a favorite this season is oversized sweaters.  I was able to snag this lovely in a recent Moxie Style sale (review to come soon!)  How amazing are those pockets!!  I think I need a sweater like this in every color.  I know this this sweater will be getting a lot of use in the next few months!

Hope everyone has a happy first day of fall tomorrow!

My favorite season is quickly approaching, and this season I'm keeping my mind (and closet) open to trying some new shades of yellow and orange.  Growing up, these two have always been my least favorite colors.  But I'm really loving the mustard, ochre and rust shades that are popping up, especially what I'm seeing in pants form!

I know there are many other options out there in these colors.  I'm currently searching for the perfect oversized ochre sweater (because when else can you wear orange!)

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Today I'm sharing a quick post on a new product I've been loving - Oz Naturals Age Defying Solar Shield.  I'm always on the lookout for products that are multi-taskers, and this fits the description perfectly.
Now that summer is just about over, sunscreen isn't a beauty product that's at the top of our shopping lists anymore.  But this product is more than just a sunscreen.  I've been using this in the mornings as a replacement for foundation.  Since it's tinted, it left a hint of color without feeling heavy.  The medium tint works for most skintones and evens out color, which I loved!  The sunscreen even kept my face shine free for hours, and I didn't have to worry about being out in the sun.

The sunscreen has a light, pleasant scent which I also loved.  Most sunscreens have that typical scent that screams being at the beach.  It was easy to blend on my skin (the sunscreen looks much darker in the tube so don't be scared by that!) Another added bonus is the anti-aging properties, though I tell myself that I'm not at the age to worry about anti-aging.  I guess it's never too early to start though.

Overall I'm impressed with this Oz Naturals tinted sunscreen.  I can tell this will become a year round product for me, but I'm definitely looking forward to using this next summer as I'm curious as to how the tint will appear on my arms and legs.  A little extra color never hurt!

I received this complimentary product from Brandbacker and Oz Naturals in return for an honest review.  All opinions shared above are my own!
