The skin around our eyes is one of the most sensitive areas on our body, so of course it deserves a little extra TLC. It's also one of the areas I neglect the most, partly because I don't typically have deep bags or dark spots. That doesn't stop me from indulging in preventative care though.

I've been incorporating some under-eye prep into my routine thanks to VII Code, which I've written about before (see here.)  This time I tried the VIIcode O2.0 Oxygen Hydrating Eye Spray and the O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for dark circles.
VIIcode O2.0 Oxygen Hydrating Eye Spray
I was particularly curious about the Hydrating Eye Spray. I use a toner all over my face as part of my skincare routine and I'm imagined the Eye Spray to be used in a similar way. One of the star ingredients is EOPE, which helps to revitalize skin and improve skin vitality.

So how do you use this spray you ask? I used it both day and night. In the morning, I sprayed under my eye and gently pressed the product into the skin to fully absorb the magical ingredients! I used one spritz, but VII Code suggests two to three sprays. I then finished off the routine with a brightening eye cream.

At night, I sprayed again, but followed it up with the Eye Mask!

Why use this spray? It's meant to relax skin and relieve exhaustion from daily life stress and pollution! It was also refreshing, especially on hot days like we've been having.
Going back to those eye masks, I tried the Eye Masks targeting dark circles. As I mentioned above, my dark circles are not too pronounced, but I do not get enough sleep and I am constantly stressed for various reasons, all which contribute to skin distress. Those in their 40s and 50s may have more pronounced dark circles, and with that in mind, I have been more mindful of preventative care.

How to use these masks? They are actually very easy to use! These little patches are fitted to sit right under the eye (and my glasses fit over the masks as I was finishing my nighttime routine which was handy!) The masks are lush and moisturizing, but the formula does not drip. The formula is made with natural ingredients like grapeseed oil, seaweed and white tea and is alcohol-free.

There is very little scent and I LOVED the cooling sensation that I first felt after applying. But the true surprise was that these did not move or fall off - and I move around a lot in my sleep. The patches are meant to be left for no more than 8 hours. VII Code suggests using 2-3 times a week to see the best results over 3 boxes of masks.

This newer routine has really benefitted my eye area. My skin has a glow and it feels more refreshed and youthful. I believe that all of the products I'm using have contributed to this change and I will continue to use the spray daily and the eye mask once a week.

Remember, it's never too late to start a skin care regimen and don't forget to pamper the eye area. It's worth it in the long run!
